Noise prediction for channels with side information at the transmitter

چکیده
The computation of channel capacity with side information at the transmitter side (but not at the receiver side) requires, in general, extension of the input alphabet to a space of “strategies,” and is often hard. We consider the special case of a discrete memoryless modulo-additive noise channel = + , where the encoder observes causally the random state that governs the distribution of the noise . We show that the capacity of this channel is given by

Power Allocation In Cooperative Relay Channels
This paper concerns power allocation in relay-assisted wireless channels for two-hop transmission. First, the transmitter sends the information to both the relay and receiver parts. Next, in the second hop, the transmitter cooperates with the relay to increase the received signal to noise ratio (SNR), assuming the relay makes use of the Amplify and Forward (AF) strategy. Moreover, it is assumed...
متن کاملError exponents of modulo-additive noise channels with side information at the transmitter
Consider the optimum strategy for using channel state (\side") information in transmission over a modulo-additive noise channel, with state dependent noise, where the receiver does not have access to the side information. Recent work showed that capacity-wise, the optimum transmitter shifts each code letter by a \prediction" of the noise sample based on the side information. We show that this s...
متن کاملOn The Secrecy of the Cognitive Interference Channel with Channel State
In this paper the secrecy problem in the cognitive state-dependent interference channel is considered. In this scenario we have a primary and a cognitive transmitter-receiver pairs. The cognitive transmitter has the message of the primary sender as side information. In addition, the state of the channel is known at the cognitive encoder. Hence, the cognitive encoder uses this side information t...
متن کاملEffect of Channel Side Information on the Capacity of MIMO Systems in Correlated Fading Channels
Using antenna arrays at both sides of the wireless communication link (MIMO systems) can result in high channel capacity provided that the channel is ideal, i.e., propagation medium is rich scattering or Rayleigh fading, the antenna arrays at both sides are uncorrelated. Also, the availability of channel side information (CSI) at the transmitter further enhances the capacity of ideal channels. ...
متن کاملSum Capacity of a Gaussian Vector Broadcast Channel
This paper characterizes the sum capacity of a class of non-degraded Gaussian vector broadcast channels where a single transmitter with multiple transmit terminals sends independent information to multiple receivers. Coordination is allowed among the transmit terminals, but not among the different receivers. The sum capacity is shown to be a saddlepoint of a Gaussian mutual information game, wh...
